Gender, Sexuality and Queer Themes in Young Adult Literature
Editor of Archer magazine, Amy Middleton, hosts a panel discussion with Alison Evans and Marlee Jane Ward. Introduced by Angela Meyer, author of Captives, the night will include short readings by the authors before a discussion between Amy, Alison and Marlee Jane.
The discussion will include queer themes and identity politics in YA literature; how YA writers are embracing character diversity; how publishers and readers deal with gender diversity and growing up genderqueer.
