Join our team as a #LoveOzYA Champion!

• Are you passionate about Australian youth literature?

• Are you willing to volunteer your time to share that passion on social media?

The #LoveOzYA Committee is looking for three #LoveOzYA Champions to join our content team, to help us spread exciting news about Australian youth literature on our social media platforms!

What’s involved

You’ll be supplied with guidelines to help you plan what to post, and the #LoveOzYA content team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about putting these guidelines into action.

While we envisage each Champion will have to volunteer roughly 2-3 hours of their time per week, it’s important to note that this isn’t an internship or work experience placement.

Champions will be encouraged to identify themselves when they’re posting on a particular #LoveOzYA social media channel, to let our audience learn a bit more about the volunteers behind #LoveOzYA.

If that time commitment sounds unrealistic, but you’d still like to get in touch and find out more, please do — the whole #LoveOzYA gang is made up of volunteers, and often share duties in line with our work and life commitments.

If you’re interested in expressing interest in becoming a #LoveOzYA Champion, please fill in this short Google Form by 5:00pm Monday 17 May.

Please don’t feel daunted if you’re not sure how to answer some of the prompts — there are no wrong answers!

The #LoveOzYA Committee will review the received expressions of interest in late May and invite three applicants to join the content team by early June.

Please keep in mind that, given this is a new expansion of the broader #LoveOzYA volunteer team, it’s possible we will grow our roster of Champions beyond this initial trio at a later date. So if you miss out this round, don’t be discouraged!
